Theatre Is Not Just a Dogfight, It's a Magical Experience
I always think that theatre should feel a bit like your going into a dog fight. You shouldn't really know what you're going to get when you sit in yo in your seats, and you've got a velvet curtain and a gilded pressenium arch. For me, they're the sparser, the better. Anything could happen in there, and that's why it's magic and special. The government at the moment, inthew cave, with its abysmal handling of the arts, would be such a shame to lose that. That type of theatre is probably the most engaging experience you can have. I miss it, and i can't wait to get back.
