CHAPTER

The Power of Quantum Computing

A quantum computer is a computer that uses cubits, which is a storage of a quantum state. A cubic can only exist in a piece of matter where you can hold the fidelity of a quantitam state - meaning it can't be disturbed. Right now, all quantum computing gets disturbed and so we use what's called quantum error correction on those cubits. The number of logical cubits needed to crack r s a 20 forty eight would require about four thousand and 11 logical cubits. And by some estimates, and some people have tried to estimate when this would happen,. There's a less than five % chance this happens before the year 2040.
