What Happened to the Student Movement in 1968?
By 1968, the student movement had come back to life in Japan. Zengakurin chapters at universities around the country saw massive upwellings of support from students. The most iconic form of student activism in 1968 was campus occupation. A growing antipathy towards Japanese government policy also played a role.
