I think that you and i probably do define ourselves a lot, and maybe too much, by our vocations. I will say this though, one of my favourite sayings in life was something my mam would say when we kids. And the phrase was, enough is as good as a feast. Even though the phrase connotes food and eating, i think as a life parallel, it's even better. In economic terms, you think about diminishing returns. This goes back to our conversation about maximizing versus satisficing.
