Is There a Different Psychometric Structure?

There are two broad purposes of factor analysis. One is simply coming to a scientific and theoretical understanding about the underlying, latent actor structure that gave rise to the pattern of correlations among our items. Or a third one is understanding that there's a slightly different psychometric structure that gave Rise to the items as a function of groups. So it's a way of saying, these items operate differently across group. I'm going to take that into account when i compute my scale scores. And what i really did was showed a significant effect that i didn't orporate these item differences across the two groups.
