How Many Words Are There in a Language?
An educated native speaker of a language will know nine to ten thousand words. Placo does a pretty good job, but even placo like there are plenty of words where they use the standard pronunciation and then what people actually say can be quite different. It's not something you need to worry about as a beginner. But once you get to kind of upper intermediate levels, it's something you have to keep your eyes open for.
