"I hate being a sucker, right? I just hate it," says CNN's John Sutter. "It's considered anti social to not consume or to even question the ways that bars are engineered" There is no easy way to turn off and almost immediately shift from having a drink in an immediate stress-relaxing mode, he says. But there are other things we can do with our time and money - including going out for walks instead of drinking.
