The only evidence that I've seen for this has been in rodent models, where you can see that there is a effect of fructose. It seems to lead to a lower ability to stimulate leptin compared to other sugars. There could be based on what we've seen from other models of sugar feeding or over feeding and rodent models, that there's always a reason to have a caveat over its potential application to human food taste preference, energy intake, and potentially metabolic disease risk.
