The Pacific Northwest is a bioregionalism. It's identifiable. It has characteristic. It's not uniform. And then if you drive say to the Southwest, it's not like you're driving and then all of a sudden you're in the desert. There's an hour more than an hour where you are in something that's sort of weirdly in between. That is how culture and language need to like cuisine, you know, outside of state boundaries. I don't think that's a coincidence.
