The black migration out of the south is one of the reasons I could cite those figures of what was happening between 1940 and 1970. Blacks were moving north into cities where they there qualified for higher paying jobs. This was a huge net benefit for the black population in America during that period. And again, you've mentioned the de-industrialization thesis a number of times, and I just want to push back a little bit on that. The blacks weren't rioting because industry had left. That's not what I said. You're getting the order wrong. The riots happened first is my point.
