The Seventh Commandment

In Exodus 22, it begins a discussion on the seventh commandment. If a man seduces a virgin who is not betrothed and lies with her, he shall give the bride price for her and make her his wife. Jim: Because seducing a virgin does not seem like as a father, I would want to give that man to my daughter. Right. So women in ancient Israel were the responsibility of their fathers or their husbands.
