The Challenges of a Public Company in the Railroad Business

There's so much advantage that can be gained just by lengthening the timeline for success in a world that operates on a very quarterly or weekly basis. The challenges is a publicly traded company. You've got to do both. And listen, our business is abs and flows. I would suggest the worst quarter financially that I've ever had any railroad experience with the first quarter of this year at C.V. But again, back to your trade-off point, you can never trade off your ability to successfully and safely operate the railroad for a short-term game.You just can't sustain this business that way.
