To me, the exploration of the mind is the goal. It's an end in itself. The pleasure comes from not achieving something with the mind. To a true artist, it's not about making a painting to sell as many copies as you can so you can live in a mansion. No, you got to find what that thing is for you. And this takes a real honesty.
