The Point of Research

The goal of research isn't necessarily I need a paper that is going to have a significant impact on the code people are writing and what they're doing with language models. It's really just to flesh out and explore as you said and unexplored new idea in the space of all possible things we could do, he says. "I found my place to be more in the more speculative perhaps I would argue somewhat more creative algorithmic and modeling ideas" He concludes by saying it's not a bad idea to optimize a little bit for your own personal fun doing that kind of work right now.
