Design researcher in finland studied 63 middle aged adults with metabolic sindrum who sat for at least ten hours per day. The goal of study was to see if breaking up long periods of with standing and light movement like walking, could have a positive impact on blood sugar and metabolic health markers. At the end of three months, the intervention group reduced their daily sitting time by 50 minutes.
