Isometric and Concentric in Yoga?

In a concentric engagement, the amount of pull that your muscles are exerting is greater than the resistance. And you're still working that muscle, but it's lengthening. But when you pause and you hold the pose, now you've kind of switched the motor to isometric. The transition into the pose, the holding of the pose and the transitioning out of the pose are going to essentially emphasize or leverage different types of strength.
