Laundresses are perceived to be the dirtiest, lowest form of life in New York's servant archy. Nobody even blinked ta eye when a laundress got typhoid at mamarine house. The next job on record in new york city itself was also very sick with typhoid. I really feel badly for laundresses, cause they really took the brunt of it. They were fired a lot for typhoid. But in this house, the laundress was the only one that got sick. People moved on with their lives. Martha stewart is very timely. Hurray for martha stewart.
