Academic Publishing - Are You Shielded by the Market Model?

I think i'm both shielded by it, but i'm also completely implicated in the market model. I feel sometimes that i'm just like a banker, you know, i've got the market never stops. You know? My emales never ever ever stop. And i could delude myself into thinking that i'm a high level broker. The university is not in good shape, and i want to try and create something within an editorial platform to bring aspects of the university back into editin,. which seems more difficult.
