I think part of the frustration for me as someone who just observes the political world is that people never agree about what constitutes evidence. Not for anything that's objectively true. The disagreements of scientists are on the frontier. That's the whole point of the frontier. But once we do agree, oh my gosh, back up. E does not equal MC cubed. It equals MC squared. And it's not subject to your feelings about whether or not that's true. Well, I think that's one difference with science and the scientific enterprise is that it gets things wrong, but it will course correct.
