Sustainable Aviation Fuel - The Future of Aircraft Fuel
Sustainable aviation fuel is to get away from fossil kerosene and instead come up with some fuel that is less carbon intensive. The industry knows that if they were to simply do the easiest way to go ahead and make this fuel is to use crops, but at the cost of eating up crop land which should otherwise be used to feed people. So what they're looking at is all of these really sort of fascinating, even weird, potential fuel sources including stuff that's grown in sea water or industrial pollution has within it a lot of a carbon.
