Is China a Foil for Sustainable Growth?

In China, you don't have all these preconceived notions. And one of the best things about studying a china or sitting in other countries is that it's more of a blank slate for you. I'm working on a hundred year history of the rise, fall and re emergence of market culture in china. It spepecifically looks at what happens to capitalism, or markets, or market culture when the communists take over in 19 forty nine. The assumption is that, given how quickly it all reappeared, so much of this reappeared after 19 78, it must have been there below the surface. So how were market practices or forms of capitalism being reproduced below the surface?
