Is There a Hardware Virus in the Micro Processor?
Is there essentially a hardware virus that somewhere in all those billion transcistors, there are things that are like, if only the particular right collection of bits is seen in this register, the suddenly the thing will er make itself switch off or do something crazy? And nobody really knows. It's one of these things, why, you say, there's a billion transcistors here, what could they possibly do? But it's something where, am againit, it's sort of a potential cross over from the, kind of a, the pure the software world to the physical world.
