How Did Your Experience in Iraq Affect You?
I was frustrated by the ways in which I think a lot of our Sunni allies were being abandoned. It was an incredibly frustrating scenario where we were relying on the predominantly Shia Iraqi military for our protection and on joint bases with them. And, and I came way deeply frustrated both by just ... this sense of running out the clock. But there are also some green shoots that show Iraq is better than many would have thought a decade ago.
