There are things you're going to read that are completely opposite of how you would do it. That's why we read the Word of God. Otherwise you just wake up in the morning and just go, let me just look within and see what I feel. See what I think. There's no point in that because we know God is different from us. He's not ordinary. He is holy. His word has to be way beyond our thoughts and our feelings.
