The Murder of an Old Woman and a Dumb Boy
An old woman and a dumb boy, her grandson from Glasgow. They were looking for shelter along the road during the night. She was not from this area and was completely unfamiliar with Edinburgh. And so this made them ideal victims to him because no one Edinburgh doesn't know her either. While Burke and Hare were murdering the old woman, her grandson was in an adjoining room trying to soothe his agitation over his grandmother's absence.
