The Naval Base and the Sailors of Kronstadt

The anarchist message resonated stronger than anywhere else in Kronstadt. The sailors had overthrown their officers during the february revolution, and now existed as an autonomous island run by self organized soviet. They were strategically positioned to have outsized influence on political affairs if they decided to stage a co ordinated armed uprising. But with the launch of the june offensive, the moorings began to snap one by one.
