How to Be a Stoic

Marcus first was introduced to philosophy when he was about 12 but then in his mid 20s he started taking stoicism much more seriously and started doing daily exercises. Marcus says that when he wakes up in the morning in order to he does a couple of things in order to help himself get out of bed he'll remind himself that nature intended him to be active and to exercise wisdom and justice so he thinks of himself as having this kind of natural obligation to engage with life  to try and exercise wisdom and he thinks of that as being the most important thing in life.
