The Role of Substances in Mental Health
With mental health there is no definite box and I often think with mental health clients we're always trying to plug a square hole with a round peg because quite a few of our clients are not the norm they are different. One client specifically stands out to me is a client who was very young and he had his first diagnosis of schizophrenia. He said social worker why can't I just be one of the rat bags the the people who live outside of the norm the people who have odd eccentric behaviors. It brings up another question about do clients actually use substances to mark the the symptoms or the psychotic symptoms that they're having?
