How to Teach Your Students How to See
Do you teach your students how to see or do you pay attention to how they see and help them use that? Oh, that's a good question. I initially start teaching them how, because they come in with, well, they've all taken pictures before, but initially teach them how. And then I start looking at how they are seeing on their own or after they have learned something that we've taught. Sometimes I learn from them that they see in ways, because we all see differently, and it's exciting. Other times I'm seeing what they're not seeing. So how do I instruct them and guide them so that they get it? The hardest thing is to teach that.
