The Role of Males in the Employment and Promotion of the Workforce

A competent manager is identified with as having certain characteristics which are perceived to be masculine. And therefore there is a tendency to see females as less qualified, less competent, less able to fulfill these sorts of particularly higher leadership roles regardless of their actual qualifications or actual abilities. This sort of bias is manifest in a lot of interesting ways. There have been studies where the identical piece of work is presented and described as being done by a man or a woman and it is rated better when it is done by a men than when it is said to have been done by a woman. Men are not considered to be superior to women in those types of roles.
