I would prefer a level playing field completely with no subsidies, no tax advantages for any form of energy production. When an industry is just getting started and when there is national security justification for to give subsidies, I think it is permissible. A mature industry should not be getting any subsidies. We created a billionaire a day during the pandemic. The billionaires that had money before Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, increased their wealth by 30% during the lockdowns. American children lost 22 IQ points. And some of them will never recover from what we did to them. It was a bad policy from the outset.
