Every single tradition is a mission as a mix of traditions that came before it with usually very little new tech, right? This is usually like one or two key innovations and then some rephrasing and some reemphasis. And there are a few serious breaks. I mean, in some ways, Buddha talking about no self was a serious break from what we think came before in a lot of ways. But even in the Buddhist tradition itself is a mix of all these different techniques and traditions that are pre-Buddha.
