The Negative Perception of Africa
I feel it's so much of the perception that my generation would have of Africa in general is tied back to popular culture. And, you know, Ethiopia itself is actually a country that was where USA for Africa and Band-Aid and all that was focused. In the 2010s for most years Ethiopia was if not the fastest the second or third fastest growing economy in the world throughout the entire decade. Why did we not hear about this? Most investors were looking at sort of those foreign companies operating in Africa and didn't believe that there was this homegrown talent that you could invest in.
