How to Make Facebook Tests Faster

Kristoff: My manager Tom O'Keenu at the time, he was like, hey, Kristoff, go work on Jess. And I tried to look at it and I was like, everybody was kind of saying, let's rewrite this thing. So what if we take everything about Jess, you know, it doesn't make sense to rename it because all the tested Facebook would have to be rewritten for the new thing. Right? Then I just made a plan of like, okay, how do we just make this like 10 to 30 times faster so we can run all the tests in like a few minutes.
