Do You Live on Long Island?
You do indeed live on Long Island. It's not called Long Islands. There are a bunch of islands and they're all part of a place called Long Island. And if you get a map of Long Island, it will include all those other little islands. Shouldn't the person who lives here be able to be the authority on one? Carpet bagger. I think colloquially or in any reasonable measure, John is correct because, yeah, you live on Long Islanders. Of course you do.
