The Importance of Diversity in Social Science
Aaron Carroll: There is not a compelling reason to think that social scientists know anything more about human psychology outside their very narrow expertise. He says if they run 10 experiments on since then and you ask them what's going to happen in the 11th experiment, they'll do better with that than laypeople. Carroll: But as soon as they step outside that narrow expertise, it is unclear to me that they would do any better.
