Douglas Was a Prolific Writer, and He Read So Much.
In terms of his writing, it has been criticized as being somewhat loose and sloppy sometimes. But then when he writes from his heart, in fact, that may be some of his better writing,. He didn't use the law clerks for this. Lando, they did some research, they looked up footnotes, but he did all the writing himself. If you count his academic books, he wrote probably 50 books - just astounding.
