If you're seeing yourself in Google News on a site colon search, but pretty much nothing is actually ranking when it comes to keywords or text from the pages themselves, then you probably have not been accepted to Google News. In June of 2020, which really is a year after these problems have happened, we had this thing that we called the government update. And I think the two of these might be connected. There are times where Google may decide that they're going to just be super cautious in what they recommend in terms of a news site.
