The Unrealistic Mindset That Drives Pro-Carceral Solutions to the Crime Problem
It's hard to disentangle the bloodthirsty, vengeful embrace of a Daniel Penny or a Bernie gets from forces that lead us to what you would call pro-carceral solutions to the crime problem. But I'm not surprised that a lot of people see those things as coming from the same spot in people's hearts or minds. And we can do that without embracing someone whose solution to that problem is attempted murder.
