Riht: Kamu would probably argue that art that only critiques functions as a negation of the status quo, but that does not qualify as creation. Riht: Camu is writing this right at, i mean, almost within within a couple of years of when people point to the beginning of post structuralism in francee writing this. So clearly he's a precursor, let's call him a precursor to post structuralism. He says these are basely one and the same. If the rebel must simultaneously reject the frenzy of annihilation and the acceptance of totality, the artist must simultaneously escape from the passion for formality and the totalitarian aesthetic of reality.
