The word that's under there in the Greek is didasculos, which would be translated as teacher. Most other modern translations will use teacher or rabbi here. This is kind of the KJV thing. And why would they be doing that? Well, back in their culture, they kind of have that social hierarchy. That's a very anglicized viewpoint for the 16th and 17th century.
