The History of Memory Research
The history of memory research starts with herman ebbing house's book in 18 85. He basically wont to study memory an what he thought was the pure form, by memorizing long lists of nonsense syllables. From that we derive some basic principles of memory, such as the forgetting curb. Memory didn't really take off as a topic of study per se, in force, until probably the early 19 sixties,. People started using the invention of the modern digital computer as an analogy for how the ind works.
