Epic's Sepsis Prediction Tool
Epic's sepsis prediction tool is terrible at predicting sepsis. Epic soon after that came out announced that they were re validating their sex algorithm and of course the FDA came out recently with their further clarification of what a clinical decision support tool is. The difference is the FDA says one recommends, was the other tells you what to do,. So recommendation apparently isn't something that should be regulated as much as the other side which is software in this case.
