Is There a Service Mesh for Traffic Admission?
The current stable version of issue does that. But personal approach, anything that needs to mutate resources as they're being created is essentially an admission controller. Having said that, um, the trend that I see in service meshes is away from sidecars. The need to do mutation is going away.
