Zachariah's Prophecy of Haggai
verse eight includes the familiar covenant formula of, i shall be their god, and they shall be my people. Verse 13 is book ended by the charge, let your hands be strong, encouraging the people in the task of rebuilding the temple. This prophecy most likely refers not to the initial founding of the temple under the governorship of shash bazer, but to the restarting of the work on the 20 fourth day of the sixth month of the second year of darius.
