How Did We Come to That Conclusion?
The argument hinges in particular on a single fragmentary papyrus that was found by two brilliant paparologists, Bernard Grenfell and Arthur Hunt. They were excavating at a village called Tiptunus, this region to the west of the Nile, sort of southwest of what is today Cairo. While they were digging there, they found a number of documents connected to the Temple of Sakhnibtunus.
