Indifference to Human Suffering and Death
The problem, the many problems that are down stream of this recognition, is if it is indifferent to human suffering and death. I would love to believe that we live in a system in which people who are truly indifferent to the suffering and death of others are relatively rare. Some people care a lot, but i would imagine in general, that indifference is rare, that it shouldn't be common. Even in the halls of power, it should be a rare thing. The hazard of living in a dark age isn't about being in the scientific dark,. It's about all the things down stream of not being able to figure out which ways up right?
