The Battle of the Pratzen Heights

Despite the fog, some of sult's units were actually able to see the last allied columns marching away from the plateau. Fortunately for the french, these coalition troops mistook them for russian or austrian soldiers. This was napoleon's first real stroke of bad luck of the battle. The men climbing the pratzen heights had each been issued nearly a pint of hard alcohol so at least some of them were probably downright drunk.
