The Goal of Red Teaming Is Multifaceted
The goal is multifaceted. One is like we just don't want to be making all these determinations ourselves both for kind of legitimacy and accountability reasons. And there are people, you know, out there doing ... frontier thinking in areas like chemistry that aren't covered by our expertise. I think there's also this idea of specifically encouraging an adversarial approach to kind of simulate what might happen in the wild. But it's not a total substitute for having an appropriate kind of detection and response apparatus for stopping real-time abuse.
