The UK Government Announces £4.3 Million to Develop Solar Power Stations in Space
Eight UK universities will share grants worth £4.3 million to kickstart the initiative. The vision for this is of a massive orbiting solar array that harvests sunlight and we can buy the effects of our atmosphere. Energy gets beamed down to Earth and can then be fed into the grid.
